About Malaysia

Malaysia is currently ranked the world’s 11th most preferred study destination by UNESCO. According to Educational Malaysia (MOE), Malaysia has 2% of the international student population around the world which is close to 100,000 students.

The Malaysian government is committed to its vision of turning the country into a high quality education destination for students from all over the globe.

As a result, many reputable foreign universities from countries like the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand have been inspired to come to Malaysia, either to set up branch campuses or to enter into collaboration with Malaysian instiTuitions.

Malaysia’s GDP grew 7.2% in 2010 and 5.1% in 2011. Malaysian banks are well capitalized, and conservatively managed and the Central Bank maintains a conservative regulatory environment. Malaysia maintains high levels of foreign exchange reserves and has relatively little external debt.

Malaysia has one of the highest standards of living in the region with all the modern infrastructure and facilities in place. The cost of living here is one of the lowest in Asia. This is achieved through the Government’s efficient management of the economy in ensuring that inflation is kept low at all times and thereby, the prices of goods and services. The entire country is well connected with up-to-date, modern road, rail, sea and air transportation systems. Public transportation by buses, taxis and trains are comfortable, efficient and very affordable.
